Dry Eye Syndrome is a lack of sufficient lubrication and moisture in the eye leaving the cornea with an inadequate tear film. This occurs when the eye doesn’t produce enough tears, or the tears have a chemical composition that causes them to evaporate too quickly.

Dry eye syndrome has several causes including tear chemistry and quality, but also natural ageing, hormonal changes, some medications and allergies such as hay fever.

In our dry eye clinic, our team will assess your tear film and meibomian gland function and suggest treatments such as heat masks, Blephasteam and even Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) with our E-Eye IPL treatment process.
